That time of year again - Its all about bees.

One of our neighbours from a couple of streets away mentioned she had seen a bee swarm last week - They also have bees, 3 hives in their garden and I never knew. Good to to know there are more suburban bees than you realise.
So I'm happy it wasn't from our hive as it looks just as busy as it did before but now I am trying to find out how to do a split and leave them next to each other as we have had them in a double brood box set up for a while giving them the chance to build up numbers ready.

  1. Thanks Kerry for the mention, yep the hive splitting method we have on our site is pretty fool proof and easy to do. It a great method for people with only a few hives and don’t want to mass produce Queens.
